HOA SCM Meeting June 17th 2024

Dumpster Days – 6 dumpsters each
June 8th – 42 loads 6 dumpsters filled.
September 7th – 6 dumpsters ordered
June 17th- HOA community Meeting
July 13th- Lavender Festival- Not hosted by the HOA
August 10th- Save the date: 11AM-4PM
SCM Community Picnic- HOA pays for Mechanical bull, monitored by the provider, corn toss, bouncy house, monitored by the provider, face painting. Yard Games. Live Music – Luke Aaron
Food is hot dogs and hamburgers and chip in individual bags. Water and soda.
Vendors are insured and copy on file and will invoice HOA.
October 10th- Annual Meeting 630-800
October 26th – Halloween Event Hayride- more info to come.
December- Christmas Tree lighting.
Mowing- Is happening now and will continue- please mow your fields. For Fire prevention mitigation as requested by the Fire Department
Complaints-
Currently- Dogs barking- will be putting out letters to the community to just be courteous of the noise.
ATV’s and OFT’s on the roads- the Sheriff’s office will be issuing a letter to residents that the HOA will put out stating the legality of these vehicles on the main roads. Safety is the first concern for all residents, including the riders of the off-road vehicles.
Cars and vehicles on properties- stored vehicles- need to be registered and insured. Letters will go to the homeowners.
Request for all information to be sent out in Spanish.
Road dust- complaints to Road and Bridge but be patient since there has been a turnover.
Erosion of driveways off Sunset call County and ask for them to address the issue.
EC West 174 and 129 developments has been pre-appt. And well, is completed.
Question regarding speed bumps if they could be installed. County has indicated that they will not be due to plowing, school busses and maintenance.
Speeding through the neighborhood has been brought to the attention of the Sheriff’s office. Currently they are aware and doing what they can with the staffing that they have.
Wild animals do live here within our community. Please be aware of this and watch for animals. Leave them alone and they will move on. Please don’t shoot them.
Fireworks are not permitted in Elbert County. Any Fireworks that leave the ground are illegal.
Request that the HOA provide an annual picnic/ or get together in June to promote neighborhood connection.
This board wants to encourage the residents to continue to plan events. This HOA will meet and get info out to the community. Organizers of events are welcome and encouraged to Volunteer. Please bring ideas to the HOA board.
